These images were made in the Palestinian refugee camps of Beirut, Lebanon in December, 1982. Similar to the images made in Northern Ireland, these photographs attempt to chronicle my journey through, and my reaction to these refugee camps.

At this time Lebanon was occupied by many domestic and foreign military forces; among them were those of France, Iran, Israel, Italy, the PLO, the United States, and Syria. Among the belligerents were both right wing and left wing Lebanese paramilitary forces. The 1982 Israeli invasion of Lebanon was part of the larger Lebanese Civil War (1975 -1990).
